Sandals Resort in Antigua

Just two weeks ago, I got back from an amazing honeymoon in Antigua! This island was beautiful, however my wife and I had some issues with the Sandals resort. We booked our trip 9 months in advance to ensure lower airfares. After booking we were given a list of options to pick from concerning activities and events that were available to us. They also told us about a passport promo that would enable us a $250 voucher for anything we wanted to use it on.

The closer we got to out departure, the more everything started getting a little cloudy. They did not issue us our passport credit after I faxed our information 4 times, they moved us to the older part of the resort once we got there and told us it was a free upgrade??? and then they failed to mention the construction that would be taking place right outside our room! I have never stayed at a Sandals resort and everyone I spoke with said it is amazing but beware of the run-around that will happen.

Everyone we talked with down there told us they had the same problem when they arrived and that all that stuff is to get you in the door. I spent thousands to go down there and to only feel ripped off when I left. The food (all inclusive) was terrible and I think was some of the lowest quality I have ever eaten at a resort. Two years ago, I went to the Atlantis in the Bahamas and then went to St. John in the Virgin Islands. These two trips were amazing and they spared no expense. I payed less for the Bahama and Virgin Island trip than I did Antigua and the quality of the first two are uncanny!

Has anyone ever stayed at a Sandals and had these kind of problems?

Verizon Internet Crooks

Just recently I have experienced the Internet service that Verizon offers. I live on a lake and I cannot receive Internet service from anyone else so I am forced to use Verizon. I sign up and started using the heck out of its service. I loved it and was happy until I received my bill. They failed to neglect a valuable piece of information when I purchased this air-card. On top of the monthly payment, you are only allowed to use between 256MB per month or 5GB per month.Verizon chose the 256MB per month service at 39.95/month for me and did not tell me about any addition fees that would accrue if I went over. I was not asked if I was a student using the Internet for school or anything. Simply. here ya go and have a great day. My first bill........$2,452!!! I am dumbfounded as to how they think people will fall into this crap. I was so pissed off and luckily I am a graduating student from a university or I probably would have had to pay that crap. If you are bamboozled, just let them know you have a cousin or brother using the Internet for school and you will be compensated. Also as a warning, 256MB will sign you in to your email and let you click around for about 30 minutes so don't get caught in this evil trap.

Entering the Real World

As life goes on, we see many different avenues pass us by. I always wonder what would happen if I chose a different route. I need some input about what influences changed your life the most. What was the pinnacle moment that made you realize life is to sweet to hand it over.
I felt this internal burn when I was a sophomore in college. I felt as though cool didn't matter anymore and that it all relatively came down to brains. I instantly changed my thought process and began waking up to a brighter morning filled with ambition. As a side effect, everything became more intense such as: studying, playing sports, exercising, loving, and all of the day-to-day actions. It feels so good I have to find out what other people feel. Do corporate CEO's maintain this feeling in order to accomplish a day's work?
